Hello all,

I've just recently upgraded to Windows 7 and have installed my copy of Matlab version 7 on it.

In order to get it to work, I had to replace the old Java with the newest, as in this link. http://recluze.wordpress.com/2009/07/30/matlab-7-under-windows-7/

However, there's a few functions that I've noticed aren't working 100% correctly. I had problems saving - once I chose not to use any compatibility options, it now seems to work fine. What remains are minor, but annoying issues: in m files, Matlab no longer tells me when a bracket is closed. Also, the zoom tool for plots doesn't seem to work as it used to: now the start of the "zoom square" begins further down and left of the cursor than you would expect.

I've not come across solutions to these annoyances - anyone else?

Best,
Alan

Alan,

Have you attempted to run the application in compatibility mode? Also, Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/w7itpro/ . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to also check the threads available there for additional assistance and feedback.
