Maple 12 and ubuntu linux

Hello,

Whenever I open a new worksheet there is no response to the keyboard.
I keep trying and eventually a worksheet will open that responds to
the keyboard. A workaround is to start a new instance of Maple, open a
worksheet, copy its contents to a blank worksheet, and hope I get
response to the keyboard.

Still managing to have fun though.

I can't reproduce this problem in Maple 12 on my Ubuntu machine.

This problem appears on SuSe 11 as well.

I also have this problem.

Once in a while a worksheet works with input, but there is no
guarantee.

Any special language support?
What CPU?
Standard or Classic or both?
.mw or .mws files or both?
Do you have write permission on the files?
Have you changed any of the Options, or are you using system defaults?

I am running Ubuntu 8.04 on a Intel Core 2 Duo.
English version.
Dunno what you mean by 'standard or classic'?
Using .mw files.
I dunno if I have write permission, I just click new file. Though
since this is a periodical problem, and it returns once in a while, I
don't think that is the problem.
Sometimes it occurs in the middle of a worksheet.

Options are set to default.

I have found out that the problem occurs after saving a file.

When I click "Save as.." and then saves it, the input doesn't work
anymore.
