Hi everybady,

I have a equation in the following simple form

D(x0+px1+p^2x2+p^3x3+...)=p(x0+px1+p^2x2+p^3x3+...)

where D is an operator.

I want to get new equations by equating the terms with the identical
powers of p, as follows

p^0 : D(x0)=0
p^1 : D(x1)=x0
p^2 : D(x2)=x1 and so on.

I saw "equate" command in maple tutorial. Is it possible to do that
with this maple command? Could you suggest any book?

Thank you in advance

Firat

The problem is that your description is unclear (at least to me).
Please post your equation in Maple syntax.
There is an Equate command, but others might fit better.
