SOCET SET and the grid engine

Hopefully this is the correct forum to post this. If not, please
redirect me.

I'm the sysadmin for a small network of Solaris 10 systems running
SOCET SET, among other things. None of us here are too familiar with
SOCET SET as it's only there for a portion of the software that ends
up getting used as part of a larger process.

We notice when bringing up the GUI that there are references in some
of the menu items to the grid engine (Sun's version), but we can't
determine how we would set up a job (or project?) for submission to
the grid engine. As I said, none of us here are too familiar with
SOCET SET.

Would some one be kind enough to point me in the right direction for
documentation? I've attempted to search through the online
documentation for "grid engine" but have come up empty.
