Subject: [tao-users] ACE+TAO compatible with openDDS ?
Hi ,

1. Is the ACE+TAO available at -  http://download.dre.vanderbilt.edu
    compatible with - openDDS ?

I want to make a build of openDDS. openDDS has dependency on ACE+TAO.
If I download the ACE+TAO build from DOC group,
will it be useful for compiling/building of openDDS sources ?

2. Are there interface level differences between OCI TAO and DOC TAO ?

Kindly help to make my understanding clear.

Thanks & Regards,
 Santosh.

Each release of OpenDDS contains a README file that lists which versions
of ACE+TAO are supported.  One of the DOC Group releases is always
included in that list.

Those differences don't usually happen, but it's not guaranteed. The OCI
TAO releases have extensive documentation on exactly what has changed,
in the OCIChangeLog files.  There is also an overview in
OCIReleaseNotes.html.
