HDTV's (relative) immunity from subliminal advertising: you cannot do it
(even at the full 18mbs) -- without a 'macroblock corruption festival' that
gives away the whole effort. Most 1.5mbs SDTV is not immune in this way.
Only 2.0 mbs EDTV/SDTV has moderate immunity. EDTV/SDTV in order to be
immune probably requires an uneconomical 3.2 mbs.

In the most recent issue of ABC.net.au's Mediawatch (not to be confused with
the RNZ version, totally different) -- an Australian network tried to insert
ads (duration of under ~1.1s) into its PAL programming. However, HD viewers
may have noticed the immediate macroblock effects of the inserted ads.
