Do you specifically require an older version than those available at
pgp.com? If so, which one, or how old?

GPG is also free.

Thank you. I will try it.

If I understood it right I also can use the actual trial version 9.10?

After 30 days the extras are disabled but email encryption is still
working?

I cannot fathom why people want to use software that is 10-15 years out
of date, which has known bugs and problems and interoperability issues
-- particularly not for something as critical as encryption.

Yeah really. Or not even bother to sign a newsgroup post in c.s.p.d. The
nerve of some people.

Hello Tamzen:

What PGP/GnuPG compatible public key encryption system would you recommend?

Thank you,

Pete

9.10 from PGP. 30 Days you get to use all the features and then it
reverts to freeware if you don't want all the features. If you read all
the release notes over the years you will see some rather serious bugs
have been fixed. I wouldn't trust the earlier versions as much simply
because there are known issues in them. I've been using PGP since
V2.something days and always keep PGP up to date.

Is there no "Clipboard" menu when you alternate-click the padlock in the
tray? No "HotKeys" tab in the options?
