Will robots ever be able to perform a blowjob ???

This is an important question, because the world of the future will be
full of lonely and extremly horny men who will become aggressive when
their sexual pressure is not released.

That means a blowjob-Bot will sell like crazy.

But is it possible to create a robot that can suck a dick properly ?

Pick up any porno rag and towards the back you'll find at least one 'pocket
pussy'. Batteries may actually be included. The better ones provide for a
wall-wart adapter.
More likely you'll find more than one. Not limited to overpriced life sized
dolls that will respond in audio with general platitudes of a sexual nature.
Available in both genders BTW.
Some of the dolls are quite life like but lack any real movement and still
can't get the beer from the fridge damnit. The 'real thing' still being
preferred. Now a robot that can perform a BJ and a hand job without the
potential of ripping your penis off is still missing- I'm sure someone is
working on that....or working on that problem... or ..um ... whatever.
Easily the most life-like but still lacking:
https://www.realdoll.com/
If you want a robot that crashes the car, bitches constantly, drinks all
your coke and coffee, smokes your cigarettes, complains that you spend to
much time on the 'puters, burns supper, spends to the limit on your credit
cards for crap you wouldn't buy with a gun to ya head, constantly invites
complete strangers to stay at your place for an indefinite time, steals the
covers, does a half-ass job of cleaning, only does what is required to
maintain its own existence, and even then requires assistance, that's
do-able. Market research tends to suggest that this would be a vertical
market product and limited probably to masochists and computer/tech geeks
and I believe it would be hard to find funding for research or development.
You were being serious weren't you?

It would be a fairly interesting application for the various actuator
"muscle wire" technologies. Have at it and let us know how you do.

I have sat in meetings full of respectable academics where this gets
discussed in all seriousness in terms of getting grant money to develop
related technologies.

I have also talked to disabled people who say "your robot *will* be able
to ... support my elbow while I fiddle..." (or equivalent). In that
field, it's a very serious problem

Mind you, one of my colleagues has sat in government meetings on "the
future of robotics" where this kind of thing was suggested, and watched
in disbelief as the meeting was suspended until *all* *record* of the
remarks were purged from the minutes

Point of safety: muscle wire contracts by getting really hot. Probably
not the actuator you want.

cheers, Rich.

hun.hobbi and alt.birthright clipped, these appear to be 'target'
groups the troller wants all responses (including to his posts below
in other groups) to show up in. Please don't crosspost responses to
those groups.

Will robots ever be able to stop trolling spammers? I hope
something will, and soon. Here are just a few of the most recent of
almost 300 posts from pie_gar...@lycos.com, all apparently
crossposted to the group mentioned, hun.hobbi and alt.birthright:

It is rude to fill hun.hobbi and alt.birthright with posts about
robotics. You all should know better than to fall for that old
trick by now.

I would think of such people as funny, if they weren't so sad and numerous.
Well at least his trolls are somewhat on topic. Beats 90% of the other
trolls. (At least reading is drivel didn't feel like he stole my time, just
wasted it)

Troll and spammer robotic hunters. Good idea. Track spammer, send in a small
autonomous wasp-like robot with a very leathal sting. The latter is very
possible (I believe such small flying robots have been build before), the
first is the tricky part. Also the range might be an issue as well. Flying
such a robot from Europe to China poses some dificulties.

(rest of post are wity (well, i hope) comments on our troll, please ignore
those)

Replace "witches" with spammers/trolls/politicians/lawyers/MPAA/RIAA and I
would agree.

Easy, do go paddling in the first place.

The brand isn't inmportant. Just go buy it from some shady 2d hand car sales
man. Getting screwed is pretty much garantied.

Perhaps this is the time to mention my hand-drum-proof helmets for only
29,95...

Don't laugh with Uranus. It's a serious matter. Better visit the doctor,
especially after buying that used car...

Sure you are. You welcome to stop any kind of ball with your balls. Extra
points for petanque balls.

Now there are some things in life you don't laugh with, because they just
are too traumatic.

You guys have issues
it's people like you that give robotics a bad name.
I get asked that question all the time, "Can you make a robot that can
give a BJ".
I hate those people that comment that to me.
This guy most likely is in college and is trying to make fun of us.

Don't fall for it
