Subject: Vxview for VxWorks

Those of you who have been using the vxtool program from the VxWorks archive
may want to look at vxview - this is vxtool ported to X11 using Sun's Xview
toolkit. If you haven't seen vxtool, both of these programs are window tools
that attempt to make the life of the VxWorks' developer easier by providing
a window that allows one to open an editor, compile, download, add new hosts,
change i/o paths, etc. from a window. They also have a subwindow that adds as
a terminal, so you can interact with VxWorks directly.

Vxtool is the old Sunview version, vxview is the new X version. Vxview
requires X11 release 3 and Sun's Xview library. Besides the changes to the
visiual appearance due to the port, the main difference is the additiion of
support for running emacs in a seperate X window.

To obtain either send email to net...@thor.ucar.edu with the message body being
either:

send vxtool from unix
or
send vxview from unix

Do NOT send me the request - netlib is an automated server, I have other things to do! :-)
