Subject: Printing a logo in PCL format?
Hello all:

I'm new to this group but someone suggested I try my question here so that's
what I'm doing.

We are trying to print a logo (like what you would see on letterhead paper)
via PCL directly to a printer.  We already use PCL to change fonts, colors,
placement on the page, etc.  Bolding...that sort of thing.

We'd like to have our logo in PCL ("in-line"?) and just be able to
incorporate that into the program that is writing out our reports using PCL
for the functions above.

We are NOT using any word processing s/w.  I just need to be able to do this
but don't know how best to go about it.  I've gotten our logo from .bmp to
.pcl but don't seem to be able to successfully "write it out" to the printer
w/o it just looking like garbage.

Any one have any experience doing this?  JJ

Hello.  Well, part of the issue is that it's not just one printer.  We send
to many so we can't update all those printers with macros or fonts.  New
printers are constantly being added/moved/replaced, etc.  I need to send the
logo as "stream" or "in-line" PCL as we are sending output to the printers.
But thanks for the input.  JJ
