I have no interest in his/her campaign against Mike Richter (and I know
nothing about him anymore than I do about smh) but I find smh's language
vulgar and unacceptable on a public board. I have never been minded before
to ask a moderator to prohibit further posting by someone, but I am minded
to do so now.
With apologies that this message is, in a sense, off-subject, do others
agree with me and how does one complain about smh's postings?

What you need to do is to prove ANY of the following list is a LIBEL.
And that should be a piece of cake as all you need to do is copy & paste
the proof of misquotes Mikey has:
--------------------------------------------------------
Sammy deliberate misquotes
The creature's database of
misquotes ... is remarkable
It is true that a particular troll...
misquotes me and misrepresents me.
I only know what it posts when it falls out when replying
to someone who quotes the slanders and lies as you did.
it flails away with misquotes, statements out of context
--------------------------------------------------------
Again, all you need to do is copy & paste the proof of misquotes.
It is that simple. It is that easy.

Whether anything Sammy says is true or not is of no interest to me - his

Come on, Sammy, you know you can give good helpful advice and you have

First, it is not possible to reconfigure a newsgroup once it is
established. This one could be killed and a moderated one started, but
the process is painful and not undertaken lightly.
Second, moderation would delay posts that should be handled urgently and
would burden a volunteer severely. Since you have the option to killfile
any author, it is unnecessary.
FYI: I do not killfile anyone, but I do not read all posts. I do not
assume that either sex (or any if you include the variants) is cursed
with little Sammy, so I refer to it as neither male nor female. Frankly,
I've no curiosity about the reality of its origin and while I would like
to see it depart, it's at most a minor nuisance.
I have enough support from public and private posts and from references
such as The New York Times and manufacturers who use material from my
site with permission (and those who do it without) that a mewling infant
can be ignored - and is.
> With apologies that this message is, in a sense, off-subject, do
> others agree with me and how does one complain about smh's
> postings?
This is an unmoderated newsgroup.
I encourage you to email a complaint to ab...@readfreenews.net ,
postm...@readfreenews.net , and ab...@octanews.net . Include full
headers and message. He has been kicked out of several news services
for this same behavior. If enough people complain, they may take action
again.
Otherwise, just ignore, maybe use your reader's killfile or block
sender feature. The creature is an obsessed lunatic, and engaging it
will only produce more foam and spittle.

Thank you all for the responses.
I have emailed the "abuses" addresses, complaining about the bad language in
particular.
Any action that is simply desctructive hurts (not just Mike but all) and it
is a real shame that this board does not function as it might, both because
of Sammy's actions and because there are clearly, behind all the rantings
and ravings, issues that could be discussed sensibly. It is a real shame
that this is not to be.

How the hell do you know that, slimeball?
Have you found the documentation?
Mikey (8/10/04):
"Documentation for this is still sparse or
missing altogether"
Have you found the standard?
Mikey (9/8/04):
"I've not found any standard
for multisession DVD-ROM in ISO 9660 style."

Thus, DVD-+RW is unreliable, I presume?
Anyhow, what results are those? What's the source? Did you just
dig that out of your asshole?
Is CD-RW unreliable, Mikey?
Once upon a time the supposedly flaky, fragile, forgetful,
unreliable CD-RW media was good enough for BACKUP, of all things,
even when combined with the supposedly flaky, fragile, faulty,
unreliable packet "format" -- according to none other than Mikey:

Why is that Mikey? Have you established that DVD_RW are
unreliable? All you presented -- without substantiation,
only on your say so -- is that DVD_RW are no more reliable
than CD-RW.
If DVD_RW are indeed unreliable, why don't you dig it out of
your asshole and explicitly say so?

Stop spreading cockamamie mumbo jumbos, Friggin Freak!
InCDsrv.exe handles the 'burn rights' on Win2k/xp, and as such it's not
needed on Win9x.

Perhaps the Plextor used to pull the C1 errors out of thin air?
Perhaps CDSpeed used to pull the C1 errors out of thin air?
Perhaps Plextools used to pull the C1 errors out of thin air?
Anyhow, how would you get the C1 errors when you don't even have
a drive reporting the C1 errors?

You can delete a file from one session in a later session
either by not importing it or by dropping it from the TOC
when you write the new session.

In what write mode did you burn the 700-MB files, Mikey?
It could not have been DAO as it requires multi-GB files:

I've been mastering DVD-R with WinOnCD for a few months and have
had no problem with readability. While I usually use strict ISO
9660 naming, for one job I need to use Joliet and it has worked
fine on several Windows platforms.
[Shove them up your asshole, Asshole!!]
I don't know where you would run into multi-GB data
files to raise the issue.
[DAO requires multi-GB data files!!]
I have dealt with none that big ... <=== No See DAO
so have no suggestion to offer.

But then again it could not have been TAO:

In my limited experience, multisession on ISO 9660 DVD-ROM is
unsupported, poorly supported or inconsistent in both writers

in general recommend using CD for multisession and
reserving ISO 9660 DVD-ROM for single session
(the only option offered by Nero). <=== Only DAO
