Hello, I have the standard Mitsumi FX001D double speed Cd-Rom drive.
When I play back certain avi/mov files in Windows, the animation is
bearable but still quite jerky. I have a 486DX/33 with 8 megs of ram.
Even though my video card is non-local bus, it is a Diamond Stealth VRAM
and gets benchmark results that nearly match those of local bus cards.
I am currently using smartdrv to cache my cd-rom, but was wondering if I
added system cache to my motherboard, if that would make any difference.
