Hi Friends,

I PPPoE connection in the Linux machine, as PPPoE server and
PPPoE client.

When i give static ip address to client it can able to connect to the
server, and it uses default IP address, when i did not give any ip
address.

I created a pool of IP addresses in the file "/etc/ppp/allip".
But at the time of running the PPPoE client can't able to get the IP
address from the pool. Instead it is getting a default IP address.

Can any one tell me how to assign an IP address to the PPPoE
client from the pool.

Regards
Bhaskar.

After creating /etc/ppp/allip, did you restart pppoe-server with the -p
option to use addresses from that file ?
