Security for information and communication systems is an indispensable
issue and researchers have been putting various efforts and coming up
with innovative ideas. Within the last decade, we have seen a steep
growth of research works particularly on various security issues in
different types of networks and systems.

The objective of this book is to gather recent advancements in the
fields of securing information and communication system as well as to
provide the readers with the essential information about security
protocols, security technologies & applications, wireless network
security, security attacks and countermeasures etc. The topics of
interest include, but are not limited to:

- Data security
- Applied cryptography
- Secure routing and transport
- Secure in-network processing and cross-layer design for security
- Security services and architecture
- Key management issues
- Trust and privacy
- Secure deployment
- Access control and authentication
- Intrusion detection
- Denial of service
- Wireless communication security
- Security Model for new services …

Submission Details:

Each manuscript must be written in a tutorial manner so that it can be
easily accessible for the readers outside the specialty of the area.
Expected manuscript length is between 10,000 to 13,000 words.
Manuscripts submitted for the book must be original, must not be
previously published or currently under review anywhere. Interested
authors are invited to submit an abstract of 150-300 words with the
gist of their proposed chapter. Please use only MS-Word format for
submission of the final manuscript.

Abstract of the tentative chapter should be mailed to the IJCSIS
editor (ijcsis...@gmail.com) as soon as possible and no later than
December 24,
2009. An abstract acceptance notification will first be sent to
authors.

Each manuscript/chapter must contain five basic sections (with exact
headings): Introduction, Background, Future Directions for Research,
Conclusions, and References. Authors may also add any other extra
section of their choice if necessary with different title.

After the 'References' section, 7-10 terminologies/keywords should be
included. In addition, 10-15 questions and their sample answers/
solutions should be included at the end of the chapter, which could
help the potential readers. The authors may be requested to modify the
contents of the chapters if deemed necessary to maintain the
consistency of the entire book and to include the most up-to-date
information about each topic.

A PowerPoint presentation of 25-35 pages should be provided for each
chapter after the final acceptance so that they can be used for
classroom teaching. Upon acceptance of the manuscript, the
corresponding author will be sent guidelines for preparing the camera-
ready copy of the chapter. Authors of accepted chapters are also
required to sign an agreement of copyright transfer and an originality
statement to the publisher.

Authors will bear the Manuscript/Chapter publication cost (which
includes submission handling, processing, revision, editing and
publication) at the rate of USD $15 per page. The first author of each
chapter will be sent a free examination copy of the book.

Preliminary Abstract Due: 24 December, 2009
Abstract Acceptance Notification: 20 January, 2010
Full Manuscript/Chapter Due: 31 March, 2010
Acceptance of Chapter Notification: 31 May, 2010
Final Camera Ready Manuscript/Chapter Due: 30 June, 2010
