Was getting this error when trying to start named on a Sparc with Solaris
2.5.1.  The machine is also a web server with 255 IP addresses assigned,
so named naturally (?!??!) wants to listen on every single address.  Since
the default maximum file descriptors was set to 64, named would bomb
since file descriptors includes sockets.

You can use 'ulimit -n nnn' to set the number of file descriptors
available to the current shell before running named.  This fixed the
problem for us.

Best regards,
