Does anyone know of using a speech recognition program to input source
statements to a compiler like Visual suite, Symantec visual cafe, etc?

Just wondering before buying it and finding out the hard way.

Thanks

I am not sure about voice programming but I did have a speech to text
program. And it was horrible. Unless your voice is very clear, and like
theirs it will not work that great.

You don't happen to program in Java do you?

Yes. Java, C/C++, MS Visual, assembly. Seems like it would be easier in
Java

What do you want to do with your speech recognition?
Do you want to dictate something or are you just interested in
recognizing
a few single words (with pauses between each other)?
In the last case, you could even write it on your own -- it isn't that
hard.
(I've done this for controling a robot.)
