I downloaded SchemeWeb earlier today. It is easy to implement.
I looked at the sample file that comes with it and the document
that it produces. It doesn't look much different from a Scheme
program with comments. Can one really use SchemeWeb to document
Scheme (and Lisp and Scm and ...) programs in the best literary
traditions established by Knuth? If so, where might I find some
more convincing examples using SchemeWeb?

I've never used SchemeWeb, but have successfully used noweb to write
Literate Common Lisp. I'm going to try to post an extensive example
soon. Keep tuned, check out my site: http://gratefulfrog.net/ for some
noweb extensions to help in coding Common Lisp.
