U160: HD68 - VHDCI68

G'day all:

Could someone explain to me the difference between the HD68 and VHDCI68
connectors. When would I have to use VHDCI, considering that U160 drives
run off HD68 (no?), and that the cabling behind the connectors is the
same, anyways (yes?)?

Any info appreciated.

VHDCI is commonly used on the external side of RAID controllers as they are
the only ones that will allow 2 of them of fit on a standard PCI slot. I
believe this is also the only reason for their existance (prove me wrong if
you can).

It's used on external card edge connectors when two such connectors are need
on one card edge.
