How my question is particular to that Host Adapter is, pursuant to,
the connections for Channel A n' B, internally.

The internal connectors are 68-pin Female.

I was given a Ultra320 68-pin 7-Device cable for Christmas. But, The
end of the cable that would connect to the card, is also Female. I
would like to know, what kind of adapter I could get, to put between
the cable and the Channel B internal connector? If it is possible.

I think I've seen "back-to-back" connectors at my local independent
computer store. It's quite a while since I've been in a MicroCenter, but
I think they may have such things.

QVS also has such things and may sell them online. In fact most of the
SCSI cables and accessories that MicroCenter sells are by QVS.

A replacement cable with the correct connector may be no more expensive
and would introduce fewer contacts into the system.

to mix-n-match NIC's and, cables.

I went to Microcenter's website and, called them. They don't have any
gender changers for SCSI. I don't see any on QVS website.

You can use a short M-M
SCSI cable as a "gender
changer," which is
probably why purpose-
built parts like that
aren't widely available
-- the K.I.S.S.
principle applies!

Bruce, I agree with K.I.S.S.

The stupidity of it, is that, I asked for the wrong cable for
Christmas.

I called the company today, where the 'gifter' bought it. The guy I
talked to on the phone told me to cut one of the brackets off, so I
could use it, inside my case. I have never done that to a cable and,
I am not about to try.

I called another company that I have done business with and, they
explained my confusion.
