Color differences in Nikon Scan

When i scan slides with my Nikon Coolscan V ED, there are often noticeable differences in color and tonality between Nikon Scan's preview window and its display of the completed scan. Any idea how to fix this? I'm using a PC with XP Pro and nVidia Quadro NVS 290 graphics card.

I dont know if this is the right place to come to ask this i have a radio shack police scanner and it was working good ... I could get several good channels and frequencies until a wind storm hit last week. Now I cant get anything but my local stations. I have an indoor antenae and a desk top scanner. Default Scanner Settings

I've got an HP LaserJet M1522nf and can't figure out if there is a way to change the default scanner settings. The one in particular I need to set is for the brightness. For some reason I have to adjust the brightness every time I scan or the document is so light I can barely read it. I do not have the HP software installed, just the basic drivers needed... more »

I would like to scan a collection of family slides. There are thousands of slides, of which I am probably going to scan a few hundred. So, it's a big job but not so immense that it will be impossible to finish. Scanjet G4050 speckled faxes

When I use the copy function and pick my fax printer, the operation succeeds alright but the background is always speckled at the recipient's end. I've tried "best", "normal", and "quick". This scanner has knocked out or overtaken my printer: HP Deskjet 2400. It will not print from a scan or any other source. Probably my fault because I deleted the Canoscan LIDE 2-00 icon which showed up on Printers and Scanners as a printer... now I have nothing... what to do? Suggestions appreciated...... more »

Everything I scan with a white background has a tint of blue in it. See [link] Even if I scan it in greyscale the discoloring shows up as grey. Just one *more* thing I don't like about this Scanjet G4050. Any ideas? Thanks
