Batch separation problem: Canon DR-C125 (replaced an old DR-1210C)
Hello, We have an old application (document management) that used a scanner DR-1210C to scan incoming documents and store them in the program. Documents were scanned in bulk - the scanner had the ability to scan all documents from feed and send separate jpeg-s to the program. The new scanner has the same ability. I know - i can see it in the... more »

epson V600 screwing up
This scanner worked fine for about 8 months. Now, about every 6th scan, the scanner makes extra noise and produces a blank white scan. Scanning again immediately produces a good scan. I am guessing that the extra noise might be some mechanical guide inside needing a little oil. Anyone else have this kind of problem?... more »

In praise of VMWare and Linux for USB scanner support under Windows
Just to note that I tried a cheap old scanner - Mustek 1200 UB - with my 32 bit Vista laptop and found no drivers. That is, the USB device installed but there were no scanner drivers. Checked online and no support past XP. Just for the hell of it I loaded VMWare Player and started 64 bit Ubuntu... more »

HP Scanner makes everything yellow (HP Scanjet 2400)
Hi Here are some pictures: [link] [link] A is the original picture, 50% in order to make it fit here. As you can see only a part of it is in the right colours. A part of the original scan is the B - with "waves" in it, I have seen that before and know simply to resize. But you can see the colour... more »

EPSON 1370 v. EPSON V600 v. CANON 9000F for scanning 127 slides
I have well over 1000 slides, mostly 127 EKTACHROME film, that I'm scanning using an EPSON 1370 PHOTO scanner. I'm thinking about replacing that scanner with either an Epson V600 or a CANON 9000F. Would either of these be better for this project or should I just stick with the 1370. By "better" I'm mostly thinking of faster and/or easier. These are mostly... more »

Scanners that suddenly have stopped working (XP update glitch?)
... I think not. YOUR SYMPTOMS ARE PRECISELY WHAT I JUST ENCOUNTERED OVER THE PAST WEEK! My HP caned 4370 suddenly - overnight with no warning - developed the same glitch. This problem lies SQUARELY on the heads of Microsoft XP updates. Now that you have told your part of the story, I'll tell what little I know; likely the HP hardware reaction to the same glitch.... more »

way to determine scan count/remaining life on expression 10000xl?
I have 3 Epson Expression 10000xl's- 2 with the photo imaging unit and one that is the graphic arts edition. The lamp's scan life is reported to be 100,000 scans, but how does one determine a count of how many have been completed? I want to be sure to change the lamps before they start getting too weak.... more »

Epson Perfection 1260 TWAIN drivers not recognised (XP Home)
My Epson Perfection 1260 (which I have been using for around eight years) has suddenly stopped working. I'm using XP Home. However, it's still OK on a laptop using XP Professional. I've been digging through the various forum and newsgroup archives, and it appears that this sort of problem has been popping up for several... more »

Larger Format Negative Scanning
Aside from the Epson range of flatbed scanners, is anyone aware of a scanner that will handle 5 x 7 inch negatives and that is also in current production? Jeff Underwood [link]
