Large black point
|
| |
Hello all, I'm in the process of scanning a family archive of (infamously lousy) Kodak Discs. I scan the whole disc at once and I wrote a script to extract the images (soon to be on my site). As such the scans need to have the black point very high as most of the raw scan is black (there's only a narrow ring... more »

Two Epson 1200S on one SCSI line?
|
| |
Hi, I just can't get two Epson 1200S working on one SCSI line. Termination and IDs are OK but I get a buss error when booting. Using one scanner with other SCSI device works, but only when the scanner is the last device in the line with termination. Any suggestions? best regards

Batch photo print scanner?
|
| |
Is there a scanner aimed at 6" x 4" and 7" x 5" prints? With some sort of photo-feeder? I would like to digitise a large number of pre-digital photos - that task may not need a large flatbed, but it does need a sheetfeeder which can handle prints. I have tried sheet feeders on a couple of flatbed scanners, but it didn't... more »

Banding with Epson V500
|
| |
Hello all, not related to my previous post, but when I scan at 6400dpi with the V500, I get very strong banding: [link] Can anyone comment on it ? Is this normal ?!? I hope I can improve it, but doing multiple passes don't improve it much.

Vuescan auto-exposure question
|
| |
Hello all, I just purchased an Epson V500 for the purpose of scanning old Kodak disks (yeah, I know, don't ask). I've put 3 disks on the scanner, done a preview, set a crop window on _one_ of the images and now I have a pretty good exposure. What do I do if I want to scan the whole area with _those_ exposure / WB... more »

Scannner for large negatives
|
| |
I recently acquired many old photographs belonging to my parents. I've been scanning the 35-mm slides, 35-mm negatives, and 126/Instamatic negatives using my Nikon 5000 ED. There are many larger format negatives (mostly B+W) that appear to be 6x6 and 6x9 format. For many years, my mother used a twin lens reflex... more »

Vuescan on Ubuntu with Epson V500
|
| |
Hello all, OK, I've been using Vuescan perfectly on Kubuntu with my Nikon Coolscan 4000 for a while. After following many pages of indication, I got iscan to work on my new Epson Perfection V500, which is apparently a prerequisite. But when I start Vuescan with the Epson, I receive: "VueScan found an Epson Perfection V500, but no Epson software for this... more »

Adding multiple pages with Epson Scan
|
| |
I've been trying to figure this out for a couple hours already so thought I'd just post. I already looked at the Epson Scan manual and found information about the adding pages but but for the life of me, I can't seem to get Epson Scan utility to bring up the dialog box asking me to add pages to an existing document even with the manual (must not be the right... more »
