Microtek Scanner and OS X Leopard

I just upgraded my Mac from OS 10.4 to 10.5, and have discovered that
the driver for my scanner (a Microtek s400) is not compatible with 10.5.

Does anybody know of a fix? I really need the OCR feature, which would
not be available if I use one of the third-party drivers.
