epson cx5800f with split personality

I have no trouble scanning with my 64-bit laptop running Windows 7hp
on my Epson cx5800f. I used to be able to scan with my old HP desktop
running WinXPpro but now I get the message the TWAIN Driver v2.75A
won't load. I've tried uninstalling the old driver, renaming the old
twain file in the Windows file on my C-drive, rebooting, and re-
installing the Twain driver. I can't seem to get the scanner working,
no matter what I do! Any suggestions on how to reinstall this driver
so it will work?
