BJC-4300 Life of Cartridge

I have a Canon BJC-4300 ink-jet printer that is constantly running out of
ink within 10-30 days with minimal number of sheets printed (usually less
than 50 text sheets). I have tried everything and can't seem to figure out
why it is performing this way. I am considering replacing the entire print
cartridge instead of just the ink tanks. The cost is $50. Can I even hope
that this will solve my problem? Any advice?

Recommended cartridge for all black text printing is the BC-20. It will
print several hundred pages of black text.
The BCI-21 Black you keep replacing is intended for shading and any black
which may appear in graphics printed with the BC-21e Cartridge.

Hi Chris,

The advice on the BC-20 is excellent - this will speed up your printing text as
well. Those little bci tanks do not last long at all but has nothing to do with
the assembly - don't buy another until you experience problems.

I suggest you consider refilling as these cartridges are all very easy and

Yes, the black is seems darker/blacker then the BC-20
