Win98. It seems to be impossible. Does anyone know any driver for Windows or
the printer. Microsoft says: ask the printer support. My printer-dealer
says: ask Microsoft. What to do now????????
Why has this f......printer this f........USB-port when it doesn' t work?

Please gimme any help!!!!!!! It's urgent!!

The USB-driver is hidden on the printer's driver CD (7/98). Check out
I:\German\Drivers\Win31_95\DISK58\WIN98\EPUSBIGN.INF.
Otherwise, search the CD for 'EPUSB*.DL_' and use the corresponding .INF-
file.

Bye.

I use the 740 with USB without any problems.  Check your system settings to
make sure your port is enabled and that you have no IRQ conflicts with the
port.  Follow your manual to the letter for an install.  Check printer settings
to make sure the 740 is selected as your default printer. Hope it works for you.

It may also be a good idea to check that USB support is  enabled. This does
not occur by default under Win 98. You may have to enable USB support in
your bios by entering set-up at the boot stage.

A few things fixed my problem...
I couldn't gain access to the printer, I had to move it to USB port one...
restart windows... then I could see the printer but the Epson Status Monitor
software wouldn't see the printer until I upgraded my software to the newest
version...
get it from www.epson.com
