Just unpacked my new Epson 1280. From the specs, it looks like it won't
handle watercolor paper, but a review/comparison I saw before ordering said
it would take up to 150 lb. paper.

Anyone have experience with using watercolor paper in the 1280?

Thanks, Paul

I've had no problem feeding 100 pound Bristol into the printer, if that's
what you mean--and believe I did use 140 pound vellum or some such once.
(Use the thick paper setting on the lever on the right under the top cover.)
It didn't produce the greatest prints on the uncoated paper though. Here is
a link to some settings you can adjust which will improve that a great deal:

Another option would be to use a coated watercolor paper--which I haven't
tried as yet. Mine was just plain old Strathmore art paper from a local
crafts store.
