HP CP3505dn - when I print, for example, a Word document I get a band of
black toner across the bottom of the page immediately below the last line of
text. It doesn't always happen but it does more often than not. Printing
labels, and starting part way down the page, I get the black band at the top
down to the first line of text. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Did the problem start with printing labels?
Some adhesive ones can ooze the adhesive when
going through rollers, once it contaminates the
rollers the rollers they pick up toner, and you can have
major problems.
Usually it is the black toner, as this is used the most.
Another cause can be a deteriorating cartridge, but this
usually results in grey streaks, and shadow images of
text printed earlier on the page. If this happens the
distance between the text and its repeat is important.
