Subject: Trouble: PVM on Solaris 2.4
Hi everyone,

I have just installed PVM on some new Solaris machines.
The installartion worked fine and I don't have any trouble
adding a Solaris machine to a bunch of SUN4s.
However, I am not able to start a PVM-console from the
Solaris computers.
I get the following error messages:

libpvm [pid13499]: pvmbeatask() pvmd didn't validate itself
libpvm [pid13499]: pvmbeatask() pvmd didn't validate itself
libpvm [pid13499]: Console: Can't contact local daemon

or (if pvmd is already running)

libpvm [pid13529]: pvmbeatask() pvmd didn't validate itself
pvmd already running.
libpvm [pid13529]: pvmbeatask() pvmd didn't validate itself
libpvm [pid13529]: pvmbeatask() pvmd didn't validate itself
libpvm [pid13529]: pvmbeatask() pvmd didn't validate itself
libpvm [pid13529]: pvm_mytid(): Can't contact local daemon

I am currently working with PVM3.3.5.

Any help?

Ciao Alexandra
