The Network-Based Computing Laboratory (NBCL) at the Ohio State
University is currently involved in research, design and development
of high performance, scalable and fault-tolerant Message Passing
Interface (MPI) software libraries (MVAPICH and MVAPICH2) for high-end
computing clusters with advanced networking technologies such as
InfiniBand and other RDMA-enabled (including 10GigE/iWARP)
interconnects. These open-source software libraries are currently
being used by more than 870 organizations world-wide (in 45
countries). These MPI libraries are being used in many TOP500
production clusters scaling up to 62,000 cores. These libraries are
also part of the OFED stack and included in many Linux
distributions. More details on this project are available from
http://mvapich.cse.ohio-state.edu.

The group is looking for several Post-Docs with expertise in designing
high performance, scalable and fault-tolerant MPI libraries for next
generation petascale and exascale systems. The candidates should have
strong background and expertise in high-end computing systems,
programming models, MPI libraries, modern networks (protocol stacks,
topologies and other components), performance evaluation and
scalability studies. The candidates are expected to take lead roles in
this project and work together with Ph.D. and M.S. students in this
group to carry out state-of-the-art research, design and development
including writing research publications and proposals. A Ph.D. degree
in computer science or computer engineering is a must. A few years of
experience after Ph.D. is preferred, but not mandatory. The candidates
should have good communication skill, writing skill and team working
experience.

If you are interested in this position, please contact
Prof. Dhabaleswar K. (DK) Panda by sending a copy of your CV to panda

The Ohio State University is an equal opportunity
employer. Applications from international candidates will be
considered.
