Shared libraries please

Hi, I would like to use the R bindings to pvm but pvm does not build
shared libraries by default. It appears that some of the changes
suggested here (http://biskit.pasteur.fr/install/troubleshooting/
pvm_install) have been adopted. But pvm3 still doesn't create shared
libraries for pgvm3 which are needed for rpvm

I'm building pvm3 from pkgrc[1] not only for NetBSD, but also for
Solaris; it's building shared libraries there. You might give it
a try; it's available for a lot of Unix-like environments.
