Subject: Sybase (Hobbyist?) CAS
Not very long ago I obtained a Sybase products CD through an
internet auction.  The version apparently is "SYBASE V2.0",
"SYBASE System 10", as mentioned in the VMSINSTAL procedure.
(On the CD it's dated 1995; so, this is about as ancient as
the last release of TeX/LaTeX for VMS.)

Today I found time to try it out, attempting to install it.
Which didn't last long, as the installation procedure was
aborted because of a lack of a so-called "Customer
Authorization String".  (The actual prompt: "Please enter
your Customer Authorization String, letters only:")

The auction didn't mention this, neither did the seller (as
I asked him about it), but maybe the seller didn't know.
Either way, I'm quite disappointed.  I was really eager to
try out Sybase.

Does anyone perhaps have a 'CAS' and is willing to sell or
otherwise exchange it?  As I doubt there's anything like a
"Hobbyist" program, or whatever; especially since Sybase
itself has been cancelled for VMS, years ago already.

I have Alpha (DS10) and I64 (rx2600) parts to trade, let me
know in what you might be interested.
