Saiga Systems are in Canada. The phone numbers listed on the web site
do not work or going to a sales rep email with no response.

Thanks,
Sue

I haven't spoken with Allan in years. No doubt you have seen the web
pages at http://www.saiga.com/, which haven't been updated since VMS
8.2 on Itanium. There are some phone numbers and e-mail addresses
there....

I had a few emails with Norma last November when someone on LinkedIn was
trying to contact Saiga. At that time they had various hardware/software
issues with their email server. I sent an email to Norma when I saw
William's original post, but that address also goes to the same server as
the address posted on Saiga's site. I also sent a message through LinkedIn.
I'll let William know if I hear anything back.

I wouldn't rely on LinkedIn too much for this if I were you. At least
two people I knew are still on there, apparently still contactable,
even though their accounts have presumably been inactive for several
years (unless the Internerd now reaches the afterlife).

Was Saiga a company? If so, someone with access to "credit checks" or
similar company/commercial information may be able to shed some light,
assuming the business world in Canada is vaguely similar to the way
things are in the UK.

On a different tack, Google finds lots of folks with 105-150 Crowfoot
Crescent as their address. These folks may not know Saiga, but they
presumably know who their building landlord is, and the building
landlord *may* know their tenant's (Saiga's) current status and
location ? Similar principle applies even if it's only a mailbox
address with no physical presence.

Depends how important it is to get in touch, I suppose.

If it's because you want/need an idle process assissin, there are other
options on VMS. Send me a PM if you want more info.

Well, if Sue needs a hitman, then I have to say that it must be
important. Sue is the the type of person to require the services of a
hitman unless absolutely necessary.

The fact that she is willing to go public with her need for a hitman is
telling. Perhaps she is after the termination of a high profile process
such as La_Carly.EXE , Hurd.EXE or perhaps even Balmer.EXE ?

My customer tried in vain.
They had hitman on Alpha, but it stopped working at 2000+ processes.
They wanted that fixed and an Itanium port, but no luck.

I was under the impression Saiga was to submit Hitman sources to
freeware, but don't see/recall details.

Hoff enumerates some alternatives in the OpenVMS Faq, albeit without
details.

I have on many systems over the years used MadGoat Watcher with
great success. Many configurations options and with a nice
CLI to config.

ok this is funny, it is important and I was looking for a VMS customer
as well.
JF I am shocked you of all people should know I would never hit
anyone;.) Well not on purpose.

I'm currently looking at Watcher to replace Hitman for my IA64
systems.
Watcher seems to work great on Alpha, but I've been having some issues
with the configuration module (WCP) on IA64 (which is where I really
want to deploy it).

I've been in the debugger all day, plodding though the BLISS source
code and the manual for LIB$TABLE_PARSE. I've not used either before,
so this is some seriously fun stuff!

If anyone is interested in the details, I'll be happy to share....

Share, share... I love LIB$TABLE_PARSE.

We've been trying to contact them for a couple of weeks and cannot get an
answer
Actually, we got an email response earlier this month saying that she
(Norma) was away from the office and would get back to us.
Nothing since.

Voice messages are not being responded to.

I don't know what's going on with Saiga Systems.
