_os_sleep issue
Hi All, I am making a project for college where I must create pipes, send messages, after x seconds print the message and after y seconds send the message to a new process on a different pipe. Each process is send and receiving the messages successfully but when I try to write a startup and enter the timing's some messages are not send. I am trying... more »

How do I get the program counter of another process (PowerPC)?
I have a system state process (actually a system state alarm routine) that wants to read the program counter of other processes in the system at regular intervals - a kind of specialised profiler. I want to know how I can retrieve the current program counter of an arbitrary process in the process table. This is on a PowerPC platform.... more »

Basic/68k on os9exec ?
I'm using the latest version of os9exec on MacOSX. I've copied my OS-9 CMDS directory and other materials over to my Mac, and I'm able to fire up os9exec and get a shell. dir, mdir, procs and friends all work. However, I'm having a problem with Microware Basic. It is failing after an F$TLink system call.... more »

OT: N8VEM 6809 host processor PCB available
Hi! Apologies in advance for the off topic post but I thought there may be 6809 enthusiasts who would be interested in making their own home brew 6809 system. I just released the N8VEM 6809 host processor PCB. I have several of the PCBs and if you are interested in getting one please contact me by email. Although OS-9 has not been ported to the... more »

Adding new system globals? Or some other way?
I want to use a system state cyclic alarm to calculate a value once a second and store it somewhere where it can be accessed by other processes in the system. My first idea was to create an event and have the alarm function set the value of the event with _os_ev_set(). Any other process wanting to query the value can do so with _os_ev_read(). Unfortunately _os_ev_set... more »

imac os9 solitaire
I work in a library where we have lots of computers, all PCs. A person came in wanting to know how to download a solitaire game for an elderly lady to play games on. I said easy. Then I found out it was for an old IMAC running OS9. I still thought it should be easy. NOOOOO. I tried setting it up to hook into our etherenet with the... more »

OS-9/68k v2.3/2.4 RBF question - 0-based sector patch?
Hi all, A while ago I managed, though sheer luck, to obtain the Cumana/Recc-O- Ware OS-9/68k v2.3 port for the Atari ST. I've imaged the disks just in case they go bad, via Kermit and via Bob van der Poel's Linux scripts. The distro disks were /u0 format (80 track, 16 sectors, 256bytes/sector). I'd like to run OS-9/68k with STeem, the Atari ST emulator, but it... more »
