Greetings...

Is there a version, (or comparable product), of GammaTech Utility's
"wipefree.exe" that works with JFS drives?

I guess I should have said what it does.

Essentially it wipes all free space and writes a... well, this is from
the docs;

"The WipeFree utility may be used to overwrite all freespace on a disk
volume. The normal wipe operation writes binary zeroes to all free
sectors. An option is provided to overwrite the free space in accordance
with Department of Defense specifications."

And there you have it...

Anyone know of such a utility that works with JFS?

DFSEE can do this:

First under the File menu select the volume; then under the Action Menu select
Erase and then SECUREWIPE either of the entire volume or of the freespace within
the volume. SECUREWIPE uses the DOD approved algorithm.

Dang!

I didn't know DFSee had that feature.

Thank-you kindly.
