Sir:

I wonder if I am the only one who has had problems installing the latest
drop of this fine tool? I ran the uninstall as the readme says to do &
reboot. Then I deleted the folder containing the old version and create
a new one and drop the latest therein. Upon running the install, the
ini go to hell. Seldom the exact same error, but always the file is no
longer bootable.

I did notice upon restoring an archive that I made many months ago, that
the new code works mostly fine with the old classes registered. After
about a dozen attempts (uninstall, reboot, & install) and restoring the
same archive, I let it be and not run the (un)installer.

Is there a bug in the new install routine? Am I missing some class that
needs to be registered?

Another issue, the calendar widget jumps between two size of layout. It
seems whenever the focus changes between apps, it changes size. A Cairo
bug?
---
The Calendar widget also seems sensitive to start in conjunction with
another widget. Either it or the Z! widget won't start from the startup
folder or xfolder's startup folder (where I tried delays of up to 2
minutes per object) on most boots. Both start fine on resetting of the
desktop or clicking upon the icon. This was an occasional problem with
the previous version, now it is acute.

Hi Bill

I installed 060 as a 1st time install and got a system that constantly
"lost" sound and became very prone to crashing.

So, problems are not confined to upgrades.

This software is now installed - best method found for that purpose was
to reformat the drive and restore from a very recent backup.

I also found it to make the WPS quite unstable (never even tried the
newest) but it a lot easier to just replace the ini files you saved
before install then reformatting and using a backup that is likely days old.

Hi Dave

The backup was performed immediately prior to installing WPSWizard and
the restore saved the chore of deleting the WPSWizard directories and
files :-)

I had problems with the install as well. I cleaned the ini files
between each install attempt. Finally, I went back to the 0.6.0 b4
and installed it successfully and before restarting the WPS I deleted
the directory and then recreated it and unzipped the latest into it.
I tried to ask Cinc about it on IRC but I think he'd already went to
bed and I haven't had a chance to try to ask again.
