Seems my main hard drive has ran out of warranty and is showing a lot of relocated sectors. I'd like to replace it with a SATA drive. My computer is old and would need a SATA card. What is the status of addon cards? Can I expect to buy as card and it will work? I have the last DANI driver installed... more »

JFS access from XP

Is there a way to access a JFS partition from XP? I have a large number of files, totalling ~900 GB that I need to copy temporarily to an NTFS partition. I tried NDFS but it is abysmally slow. Are there any other options?

Hi, I've been trying to use a USB key for saving important files that need to be on several computers. The key started out working on both the eCS and the XP system, but after a while in the XP system it is no longer recognized by the eCS one. I see that Dani's docs do not mention any restriction of boot drive size. Do I read it right that with Dani's S506 driver, I can boot from 2TB disks (I just got a PATA<-->SATA adapter for $4, so suddently became very interested ;-)? Thanks, Ilya P.S. Hi Everyone, I thought I'd post something...a bit of a surprising result to me initially...in retrospect these kind of make sense I suppose. I'm considering attempting to build one more native OS/2 system using the ASUS M4A78 Pro motherboard which has the AMD 780G chipset on it which includes an integrated ATI 3200 graphics chipset and the SB700 southbridge. I have a Silicon Image SiI 3112 SATALink Controller to which is attached a Seagate Barracuda ST3160023AS 7200.7 SATA HD and a Plextor PX-708A DVD/CD drive.
