Just use IBM's TCP/IP with PMX. login to your Unix box with telnet, and then
start as many xterm windows as you want in background. You can use all of the
usual parameters: fonts, colors, ... Work fine - I've been using it for months
now.
What you have directly asked for is for the OS/2 command prompt windows to act
as xterm windows. I'd like that too, but its a different issue.
I am using PMX on a 486-DX33 clone with 16M RAM running OS/2 2.1 March
Beta. I have the latest CSD (UN3590) applied (dated 04/16/93). Very
often, the PMX screen does not get the focus immediately if I click on
it. I normally have to wait for 4-5 secs for it to response. Am I the
only one having this problem? Which CSD level gives you the best
performance? Does any one know the perfomance of Hummingbird X-server
for OS/2? Thanks.

I seem to have this problem with the 2.1 Beta in general. One thing
I have seen on two different systems is that the xhost command hangs with
the latest beta. I had to take down PMX and add the host to my xhosts file
in order to get around this. Has anyone else used xhos,t or do most
people use the file?

Please put your answers on the newsgroup as well. Thanks.
: I seem to have this problem with the 2.1 Beta in general.
I am seeing the problem only when PMX is running. If PMX is not
running, any PM windows gets the focus immediately when I click on it.
I am running 2.1 March beta because if I am using the 1024x768x256 mode
on Cirus Logic video card. I would probably try 2.0 GA + CSD to see if
this problem goes away or just wait for 2.1 GA.

I use xhost and have not encountered such problem.
