I am having to change newsservers since my new ISP, in its great "wisdom", decided its users didn't need newsgroups anymore.
Over the years I have used the "Lock" feature as a way to keep certain

My ISP has "upgraded" its email service. (Apparently it has farmed it out toe google/gmail). The problem is that it seems that my email software has to support SSL. I've been a long-time user of Pronews/2. Recently I have started receiving the error message "Unable to find DNS entry for server xxx". Some possibly useful information: - The message occurs only on initial attempt to retrieve new headers (with "G"). - The message now occurs often but not every time.... more »

I initially posted the following on July 3, 2010, and apparently am the only person who can see it. This post is from my laptop. Since I did copy Pronews2 from an older computer to the one that is the subject of this post, do you think a complete wipe-out and new installation might fix things?
