Midget Window Size of DRRexx Programs

last few days, due to some problems of not fully displaying the numbers
in the selection boxes of the program window, I discovered something
rather strange.
For some still unknown reason, here on my W4 FP16+ system at a screen
resolution of 1280 x 1024px the program window of IpConfigPM is only 252
x392 px and thus less than 1/2 of the size it appears on his system
(eCS, judging from the screenshots he sent me) with 336 x 484px, where
of course everything then looks really nice.
This discovery now also sheds some light on one or the other such
program, where I was wondering on occasion in the past, why the author
would make the program window so tiny, that the displayed information is
hardly readable here.
So, now the big question is: how is it possible that apparently I get
midget versions of DRRexx based program windows?
Is this a phenomenon others have run into already as well?
Does anybody know anything about an effect like that and how to fix it?

Maybe the DRRexx app does not allow for different screen resolutions.
If that is the case the author needs to add some code to detect screen
resolution and adjust app window size accordingly.

But then why does it appear in different sizes on systems running the
very same resolution (his: 336 x 484 @1024x768, 419 x 530 @1280x1024 &
@1400x1050; mine: 252 x392 @1280x1024)?

with setdef_font101 or by hand in the .ini file? Other possiblity - which
graphic driver? Both snap? SET SDDFONTDPI=xxx?

Oooops!! That was meant to be DRDialog, not DRRexx :-[

Not that I would remember. My PM_SystemFonts are set to 9. WarpSans for
all for listet items.
What is setdef_font101?

I'm using it with SDDFONTDPI=96 and SDDFONTSIZE=small
Last night he sent me another version, which he had compiled on a box
with a 1024x768px resolution.
This one now looks great here on 1280x1024 and appears with a window
size of 302 x 393px. :-)
But he now says, that for him it now looks strange on 1280x1024 screen
and hence suspects some issues with DRDialog.

Sounds like you may have PM_SystemFonts -> DefaultFont defined in OS2.INI.
That will cause things like this to happen, at least with programs that
weren't designed with dialog-unit scaling in mind.

Doesn't look like it. All I could find under this name are 4 lines:
IconText
Menus
windowText
windowTitles
all with a value of "9. WarpSans" for 1 & 3, resp. "WarpSans Bold" for 2 & 4

Thanks Alex, that worked for me. I'm testing RC6 and some dialogs (e.g. in XWP)
didn't look good compared to eCS 1.2
