Subject: Banner system for eComStation

Banner system (notifications, push-notifications):
homepage of the project -- http://ecomstation.ru/banners
Our goal was to make the desktop more interactive.
Simplify and unify the development of new apps.

The need in such system have appeared in 2005 - 2006,
it was important to make the mechanism of banners very reliable and
global for the OS.

Testing: Download -> Reminder applications is aimed to test the mechanism.

Screenshot: http://ecomstation.ru/projects/developer/banners/screenshots/Reminder...

Three questions to users:
1) What applications could use the banners?
(other people suggested -- http://ecomstation.ru/projects/developer/banners/?action=examples)

2) What animations to implement?

3) Is it necessary include the banners to eComStation today or delay to 2015?

For developers: inform us what applications do you plan to equip with the notifications

Looks to me like this is something that will need to be BLOCKED.
IMO NOTHING needs to intrude on a user in the manner suggested.

Keep it to yourself, I don't want it.

I think one is supposed to visit the forum to join the discussion. Not
having it seems like an advantage compared to e.g. WinXP's annoying,
repreated messages, but enabling it could be optional per app and/or
per system. To me it looks a bit like icons for a stretched eCenter ,
moving from 16x16 to 200x150.
