Maybe try asking in a Windoze newsgroup? MSDOS has no concept of
icons that I know of...

Haven't you ever heard of Google? Search on the string
download windows icons
Most Windows graphics apps will save images in .ico format, and
GraphicsMagic, and other command line graphics packages will resize and
convert images.
All that is totally off topic here.

*** Find in what format the icons are and Internet search for that file
extension.

*** No, but its myriad of desktops do.
Desktop 2 is an MS-DOS program. That is why I'm asking here.

DESKTOP2 A Graphical User Interface for DOS by Felix Ritter
If the above is the program you are using it is not off-topic... but since
this program uses MS Windows icons these are available from countless
sources and can be created in many editors including various from Microsoft
and since they are MS Windows artifacts and not MS-DOS I would have to agree
with Ted. You are hopelessly off-topic and the information you seek is
easily googled and found.

*** OK. See what the file extension is for the icon files and search
on that. What is that extension?
Desktop2 uses .ico as extensions for icons, but I have no idea if the
standard .ico files Windows uses will work. If they do there's got to be
about a bazillion free icon pack out there. If the format is special to
Desktop2, then the OP would need to get the file format from the developer.

*** They are typically .bmp format; if so, they should work.
Yeah, probably, but you never know if they put some special header info in
the file, but, being as this is dos based, I'd guess they'd keep it
reasonably simple. Complexity here would seem unnecessary.
