ANNOUNCE: DJGPP port of GNU Sed 4.2.1 uploaded.
|
| |
This is a port of GNU Sed 4.2.1 to MSDOS/DJGPP. sed is a stream editor. A stream editor is used to perform basic text transformations on an input stream (a file or input from a pipeline). While in some ways similar to an editor which permits scripted edits (such as ed), sed works by making only one pass over the input(s), and... more »

D. Borca's old ELF fork: mirror needed
|
| |
Now that Geocities has gone caput, will somebody consider mirroring Daniel Borca's DJGPP + ELF project? My wimpy Google Pages site doesn't have enough space to host it (although I have the files locally if anybody needs 'em). 05/06/2006 05:09 PM 4,229,952 bnu216e.zip 06/19/2005 12:08 PM 134,953 bnu216s3.zip... more »

Quake/EGA
|
| |
Okay, not sure how far along this Quake/EGA got. Honestly, I'm a bit skeptical, thinking it might just be yet another halfway-finished project. But it's cool nonetheless. At the very least, I mentioned some history about Quake (hopefully correct, I wasn't there or anything ...) and how to compile it. ;-)... more »

GAS ".code16" and DJASM quirks ...
|
| |
I've been messing with a small Befunge93 interpreter in assembly. I didn't write it, just tweaked it a bit, converted it to something besides TASM, fixed a few bugs (though some obscure ones still exist), and shrank its size a lot. I know it's silly, but ... [link]... more »

Setting permissions in DJGPP.ENV
|
| |
Hi all, I was wondering if it's possible to set UNIX-like permissions for arbitrary files through DJGPP.ENV. I'm trying to use a DOS port of Mutt (the e-mail client) to check my mail on an SSL-encrypted IMAP server, but OpenSSL requires /dev/random to generate entropy for encryption. Since DOS has no such file, you can pass it a "randfile"... more »
