Subject: What video encoder is used?
When I install a video editing application, and
export a video clip to (for example) AVI-DV format,
will the application use a DV encoder that is supplied
with Windows, or will the application have its own
encoder?

If the answer is "depends", how can I tell which is
used for any given application?

Thanks

Pete
