The Downhill Project is an effort to make porting UNIX applications
to a Win32 OS as easy as possible. It provides header files that
include UNIX structures and defines, and a library that maps UNIX
API calls to Win32 functionality. I ported a 200,000-line program
to NT using only about fifty #ifdefs and removing only a little
functionality.
The Downhill Project, v1.0, is available at ftp.netcom.com:
/pub/knauss/DOWNHILL.tar.Z. Feedback and contributions are welcome.
