Is there any way to work around bad memory spots in Windows by not using them? There is a way for Linux [1] but I don't know of any for Windows. The problem is at about 760 MB and I have only one Gigabyte, a solution that simply disables all memory higher than this point would be okay. -Erik [1] <[link]>... more »

I just got an old NT 4.0 comp from goodwill. It has NT 4.0 and NT server 4.0 installed. Both have a [VGA mode] option on boot. There's also a "Microsoft Windows" option, but it just checks the floppy drive and gives a disk error (there's no disk in the drive). Anyway, I don't know the administrator password, or any others for that matter.... more »

Hey there! I'm hoping some benevolent wise soul will help me. I recently received a copy of windows 2000, but when I try to finish setup it won't recognize the product key.
