Loopback as primary DNS 
  Wouldn't that effectively multihome the machine, and bring with it all those related hassles? Yes, as I (mis)understand it, it does. However I have never experienced any of the problems that others say exist with multihomed DCs or boxen.  (I'm not saying that they don't exist, just that I've not run in to them.)... more »

Rogue DHCP 
  I run a public wireless network, and I am somehow being bridged to a DHCP server on the Vodafone network. I am getting DHCP packets on my 192.168 network from an external 109.115.x.x.   I fell in love with the net and all the compuiter teahcnology in the very early years and have loved it ever since, I have an IT Degree and Communications degree and will be working on my doctorate for the next five years, in bwetween I design websites, databases, Multimedia Produxction or anything that wil make me a penny, just student scraping by. But Guess what? I don't want your money, your e-mail, or anything. Each of these sites has a specific topic but they have them style and layout sothey are easy to navigate and ther a search function should take you to exactly where youwant to, or just explore, they have outside service you can acccess as well. Can't ping DNS 
  problem is i cant ping the dns server from clients and exchange server,database server,isa server. i cannot ping to my default gateway address from any of the servers. Then your problem is a network connectivity problem, not a DNS problem. Remember that ping is not a DNS diagnosis tool <[link]>.... more »

i'm in some real trouble here. help! 
  so last night i let firefox update itself. what a mistake that was! ever since, it can't detect a network connection and says "can't find server". IE has been doing the same thing ever since i installed SP2 (vista) which is why i was solely using firefox even though since WMP relies IE to look up cds, so it couldn't. so i got me another media... more »
