Apparently it's not possible to share the root of a drive on a network- at
least in some cases.

I have 2 XP machines networked to a Vista machine. On the Vista I have 2
internal hard drives and a USB external drive. I'd like to share the root of
the 2nd internal drive and the USB external drive to the XP machines- but I
can't seem to do it. Apparently this was once possible but MS decided to
take away that privilege.

I'm sure it's actually possible but not for the networking neophyte.

I followed the usual process with no luck- I have no trouble sharing folders
within those drives.
