XP Pro, SP3, current updates, Thinkpad T60p used like a deskotp.

I have read that the Linksys WRT54G is a good router and that it was best
before the memory was reduced (power said to be reduced in the new smaller
code). I have had terrible luck with their new routers that look like
fallen over vases or dressing room powder boxes. But finding a new WRT54G
of the large memory kind is nearly impossible.

I do see new WRT54G+ routers with the DD-WRT firmware. Since Cisco isn't
interested in supporting these routers anyway (warranty stuff), would it be
a bad idea to get a new one with DD-WRT?

Over in alt.comp.networking.routers you asked the exact same question
a few days ago. Didn't you like the answer you got there?
