Hi.

I am trying to set up VPN access to my my home network.
I am using XP Pro and would like to provide access to this box.

What I have done so far:

1) I have gone through the VPN Set-Up on XP Pro
2) I have established myvpn.mydomain.com
3) I have myvpn.mydomain.com pointing to my XP Box (192.168.0.110) on
port 1723
4) I can ping myvpn.mydomain.com
5) I can telnet myvpn.mydomain.com (get a black box).
6) I cam ping my XP box from my LAN
7) I have enabled IPSec and PPTP for Pass-Through
8) I am using a DLink DI-604 router
9) I have given my Administrator and one User account VPN access to my
XP Box.
10) When I tracert it goes from my router to my ISP and stops there.
11) When testing my VPN connection, I am doing it from "within" my
LAN. I haven't tested it outside my LAN yet.

The default value on my router for port 1723 was the name PPTP
(obviously) that i subsequently changed to myvpn.mydomain.com. I am
assuming that it was OK to change the name from PPTP to my subdomain?

I am out of ideas - any suggestions?

Thanks.
