The Washington Area Computer (WAC) User Group and the National Capital
Technology and Computer User's Group (NCTCUG) merged in May 2012 to
become the Potomac Area Technology and Computer Society (PATACS).
PATACS is a general interest personal technology and computer user
group, and a member of the Association of Personal Computer User
Groups (APCUG).
PATACS meetings are held in both Fairfax and Arlington, Virginia, as
well as online. PATACS meetings are free and open to the public. Bring
a friend!

Sam Clay, Director of the Fairfax County Public Library, will give the
main presentation about "The Public Library Today: Interface and
Edifice."
The Learn 30 tutorial session features PATACS member Steve Auerbach,
who will illuminate the Smartphone for seniors and other reluctant
adopters.
PATACS will host a free Personal Computer Upgrade & Repair Clinic.
PATACS volunteers will be on hand to help PATACS and OPCUG members
with virus and spyware removal, troubleshooting, and hardware and
software installations (including GNU/Linux and properly licensed
Microsoft Windows operating systems). Members must contact PATACS in
